Module 2 - Course 2: Tools and Techniques

Welcome to Module 2 Course 2 Analytical Tools and Techniques

 

This course provides a concise description of different tools and techniques used to solve business problems. A few of these tools were described in Course 1 Problem Solving; such as Brainstorming and Root Cause Analysis. This course continues with the application of tools and techniques in three areas: 1) Strategic tools such as STEEP, Porters Five Forces, SWOT, GE Business Screen Matrix and the Ansoff Matrix; 2) Customer tools such as Segmentation Analysis, Buyer Utility Maps, and Customer Surveys; and 3) Data Analysis using logical techniques such as statistics.
