Compliance with CPE Standards
Short courses offered on this web site comply with the following CPE (Continuing Professional Education) standards:
- Participants must be informed about course content, objectives, prerequisites, program level, instructional methods, and CPE hours. Course content, objectives, and level of knowledge required to take the course are stated on the Short Course Description page and on the first page of the actual exe file version of the Short Course. Additional web pages are available regarding how to take the course. Recommendations for CPE hours are noted on the home page of the Training Center and on the Certificate of Completion.
- Participants for a course shall have the appropriate background to take the course. All courses are designed to increase the knowledge of the user in the field of financial management. Short courses are presented free of charge in three formats - word documents, pdf files, and a formal exe file format. Users can preview the entire course prior to taking the course. This ensures that the Short Course will be appropriate for the user.
- The instructor for a course must be qualified as to course content and delivery method. The author maintains a high level of knowledge and experience in the field of financial management. A profile of the instructor is maintained on this web site - Profile. Additionally, the author seeks to make courses easy to use by using portable formats.
- Courses must be offered in an appropriate setting to facilitate learning. Short Courses are presented in a portable exe file format. This allows the user to take the course at a location and time most suitable to the user.
- Self-Study courses need to include a certificate for the participant after satisfactory completion of an exam. All Short Courses include a final exam which requires the participant to successfully answer 7 out of 10 multiple choice questions in order to receive a Certificate of Completion.
- All courses must be measured based on a fifty minute hour. Recommended CPE Hours are based on a fifty minute contact hour for an inter-active self study course.

NonCompliance with CPE Standards
Short courses offered on this web site do NOT comply with these CPE (Continuing Professional Education) standards:
- Course evaluations must be solicited from everyone who takes the course.
- All participants in a course must register with the course sponsor. Currently, anyone can take a course without formal registration.
- Course content is updated and revised once a year. Since most of the course content is the same year to year, short courses are not updated each year. However, some content may be outdated (such as changes to Accounting Principles). Therefore, the user should be aware that certain content may be out of date.
- The Certificate of Completion shall include the completion date of the course and the signature of the sponsor. The program used to develop courses does not provide for inclusion of this information. Anyone seeking CPE Credit should date their Certificate of Completion. If you want to fill-out your own Certificate of Completion, then you can use this powerpoint slide.
IMPORTANT: Before applying for CPE Credits to a governing body or other institution, please make sure you compare their standards to the standards on this web page. None of the courses offered on this web site are approved by any accredited organization. |
